Designed by legendary pilot, Mike McConville, the Sbach 342 60 ARF from Hangar 9 is a thrilling model plane. Drawn from the modern full-size Sbach that is fast becoming popular for IAC competition, the Hangar 9 version is engineered for performance. It is constructed from a lightweight balsa and plywood construction. All the wood parts for the Hangar 9 Sbach are carefully chosen to give the plane sturdiness. These parts are then precision jig assembled and finished with a genuine Hangar 9 UltraCote covering. You will notice that the top fuselage hatch is easy to remove, giving you quick access to the battery compartment and internally hidden switches. Furthermore, the well-designed canopy on this model aircraft adds an extra touch of scale class. The Hangar 9 Sbach 342 60 comes with a fibreglass cowling, wheel pants and durable aluminium landing gear pre-painted. These components come out of the box ready to mount to the airframe. Hangar 9 have designed this plane with two-piece plug-in wings that make assembly and transportation easy. An aluminium wing tube gives critical support to the airframe; making it strong enough to handle the most challenging of flight maneuvers. The Sbach comes with oversized control surfaces. When combined with the recommended digital servos, you will experience precision maneuverability and 3D capability. This sport plane comes almost-ready-to-fly, so you will need to supply a range of components to complete it. Please refer to the “What You Need” list below for more information. The Sbach can accommodate a range of power options, including gas, glow and electric; giving you extensive flexibility. Irrespective of the option you choose, installing these propulsion systems will simply be a matter of bolting them in.
